It's certainly not divisive to identify a divisive fascist trend. It's an important step forward in dealing with extremism, to that we can find common ground (which could not include the extremists on the right or left). There is a tendency of the (divisive) extremists to call the moderates divisive, which is part of their propaganda and gaslighting.

I think it's VERY important to identify extremism where possible, which is a way of dealing with their divisive strategies. When authoritarians and fascists normalize their actions in a community that begins to support their actions, this is a serious trend in the wrong direction.
