medical professionals and scientists working with virology and vaccines over the past 100 years genuinely want to safely reduce the spread of viruses

You are literally defending fraudsters, it's right here: https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna32657347

The only people looking out for you are sadditors socks. No one else gives a flying fuck.

In an unusual twist, the head of the Justice Department, Attorney General Eric Holder, did not participate in the record settlement, because he had represented Pfizer on these issues while in private practice.

I appreciate your point about Big Pharma, and the numerous problems with them, especially in the US, the only country I know where Big Pharma can advertise constandly on TV and can buy politicians without any consequence. My comments are specifically not mentioning Big Pharma, or Big Corp. My references are only to "medical professionals and scientists working with virology and vaccines over the past 100 years." Many of those folks aren't on Big Pharma payrols, but are instead part of universities &c, such as Oxford, where the Astra-Zenica vaccine was developed (and it too was not best for younger people). As for Pfizer and Big Pharma, and the link you provide, they too are working with scientifically valid approaches to vaccines. Notice that Phizer is guilty of a very common problem in Big Pharma: "illegal drug promotions that plied doctors with free golf, massages, and resort junkets." This has happened for decades. What about the science behind the production of vaccines? Any problem with that? This global development and test process for safe vaccines has been a scientific and medical process, not about illegal drug promotions. The Pfizer vaccine - as it happens - is one of the better versions of the vaccine. TL,DR: I am not referencing corrupt Big Pharma when I am referencing global scientific efforts to develop and test safe vaccines. If the latter were corrupted, we'd know. Moreover, there is no motivation to corrupt the scientific process for a vaccine, in 99% of the cases. To assume otherwise is rather paranoid and fearful of scientists and medical professionals.

Disagree strongly. Pfizer has every incentive in the world to overstate the effectiveness of their experimental 'vaccine'. Did you forget when multiple big pharma companies were all competing? COVID is a gold rush. 90% of scientists everywhere are beholden to their corporate sponsors.

Certainly, Phizer is guilty of this promotion of the vaccine. I am not arguing arguing about the promotion.

What Pfizer cannot control are reports of responses to the vaccine.

Turns out that the Pfizer vaccine hasn't had the same kinds of occasional negative press that other vaccines have had, that the vaccine appears to be effective, and that it's rather popular in some countries that don't trust the other options for vaccines (AZ, Russian, Chinese &c versions).

So if we remove the usual discussion about crooked Big Corp and Big Pharma, a discussion of global approaches to virology and vaccine science will conclude that vaccines are safe and effective in 99.9% of the cases.

I guess it all depends on how you define safe and effective. I don't think it is prudent to lump a brand new mRNA covid shot into vaccines with 50 year+ track records.

Turns out that the Pfizer vaccine hasn't had the same kinds of occasional negative press that other vaccines have had

this is a terrible metric, for many reasons.

I hesitated to note 'occasional negative press'. News media haven't really criticized any of the vaccines. In the extremely rare cases where there had been a cardiac problem in younger people with the AZ vaccine, or another problem with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or with the effectiveness of the Chinese or Russian vaccines, these were all incredibly rare events. 8 billion doses of vaccines have been administered. The number of people who took a blood thinner to cope afterward with an adverse cardiac reaction is miniscule few dozen people, by contrast with 8 billion doses administered. (That's a metric, perhaps.)

Sure I'm happy to admit maybe it is safe enough. But that's one problem of many with this entire covid narrative. You leave no room for doubt of the experts, you're like talking to a wall.

I believe it's very important to be sceptical. I waited until the latest possible time to get each vaccine, in order to wait for news of the potential side effects. I do the same with software updates. One problem and benefit of any technology today is that the complexity of its development involves numerous moving resources. There are of course crooks manipulating COVID information. What they cannot do is change the science.

There is however an impressively complex campaign of pseudoscience propaganda about genetic modification that requires some knowledge of science to discuss, but is also totally unrelated to the impact of mRNA vaccines. Still, it's a lot of detailed material for the anti-vax community to learn and believe in, and I wonder why they absolutely must go to that much trouble.

well don't paint us all with the nanobots insanity. i just don't trust pfizer or fauci or WHO.
