“We hold these truths to be self evident…” Here are our Axioms from which we shall deduce our form of government.

“that all men are created equal…”. This lofty ideal was shot down by the South, NOT TJ.

“that they are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights…” You have these rights just by being human.

His peroration (so to speak) is then (logically) that YOU have the right to be left in peace. No one may legally initiate force against you.

Then along came Woodrow and Colonel House and started the wake of destruction.
