Some categories of "other" make sense and some don't. Cockroaches are an "other" that I don't like. Grouping people by race doesn't make sense. But Jews are an ethnicity, not a race, and grouping people by ethnicity (which includes culture and religion and other important influences) does make sense. I hate most current ethnicities including Jews.

So what? There is a Jewish race, like there is a French race. My point is that race isn't very useful for grouping people. Someone of French ancestry who was born in America and grew up in America is racially French, but he is fundamentally (ethnically) American.
