I'll bet that fucker is dead in the swamp or he will be if they get close.

I don't think he's there at all. The family took effort to plan his escape, they even had one last family get together before he left. I don't think his father would then offer to help find him where he actually is, except to try and throw off blame.

Supposedly Brian left September 13 but the parents said they last saw him on the 14th. I think the father saw him off, he got a new vehicle from someone and probably whatever cash reserves his father had, which could be considerable. I figure his family must have some wealth and connections to be treated the way they are by law enforcement.

Originally the plan was to just leave the mustang as a red herring and play dumb, but after consideration they figured it's just sitting there, getting it wouldn't be too weird. Maybe they thought the cops would have been on it sooner.

If Brian has a vehicle nobody knows about and, say $15g in cash, he can stay on the road for quite a while because he looks like a generic white guy.

I agree he might kill himself, might be dead now, but he and his family went through effort to evade law enforcement. Brian could have killed himself long ago and saved everyone the trouble. And I think he has a shot at evading the murder charges.

The obvious situation is that Brian lost his temper and strangled her. That's understandable if you get a lot of old married dudes on the jury.

Are there any witnesses who saw the three of them camping? When was the last time Brian was seen by someone besides his parents? I think they either drove him to Texas near the Mexican border or put him on a small boat headed to the Caribbean or Mexico. Either way, I think his father paid to have him smuggled out of the country, although you may be right about him being in an unknown vehicle staying on the backroads. They had, what, 2 weeks to line something up?

The sister, Cassie, and her kids supposedly visited the brother and parents on Sep 6th at the Fort De Soto Campground but only for a few hours and although she seems pretty honest to me, who knows how reliable that is.

Yep, Sep 1 looks like when Brian & family started planning his escape. He returned home, few days later he gets a new phone. Brian wasn't named a person of interest until the 15th.

Could be, whatever the means his family definitely conspired to get him away. I just checked, they're worth $5 million. Explains a lot.

$5 million? You don't have that much money without connections. That strengthens my belief that the father got outside help.
