I think taiwan has some sort of blackmail material or a dead mans switch where they blow up priceless chinese artifacts if they get invaded, otherwise they would have already been invaded decades ago.

    it might be that in china, the people there are mostly pro china, support their leader pooh etc, and they wonder why China doesn't invade Taiwan, and they want Pooh to, but Pooh knows Taiwan is allies with USA who have nukes so they can't, similar to how for years a lot of people in the USA wanted to invade Cuba and take it over. Every now and then there is sabre rattling to distract the populace from some other problem but no real invasion takes place.

    Fantastic. I was sick of that shitty little war in Afghanistan. I want a great big war with lots of bombs and killings and stuff.

    I bet most of their nuclear arsenal won't even work, it was made in China after all.

    Seriously though, we can't do shit about this. Taiwan is going to China unless we want to fight a war of annihilation. I feel like we have to destroy China now but direct war would be a mistake.

      China ABSOLUTELY needs Taiwan or its economy will collapse irremediably.
