The Murdoch press is pushing an anti-Fauci line.

Presuming this is native advertising for some client, who do you speculate the client is?

Australia is struggling against China at the moment, but I would have thought that Russia would be largely disinterested.

Would this be an effort by the Chinese communist party to undermine vaccination efforts in Australia, to drag out the economic damage from the pandemic to give China an edge in the trade war?

Or it could be that Fauci couldn't do his wildly risky gain-of-function research in America, so he found somewhere that would do it. When it blew up in his face, he then claimed that an attack on Fauci is an attack on science itself. Yes, he referred to himself in the third person.

Americans were co-authors on the paper. But obviously the bat corona-virus is prevalent in China, so that's where you need to get the samples.

He's a standard bearer for science and a recognised candid teller of the truth. The Murdoch press are trying to tell Australians (of all people) the opposite, but he's well regarded as a public servant. There's "In Fauci we trust" and “Dr Fauci is my hero” t-shirts.
