What's with the non-descriptive title?

its probably less 'outrage' and more 'not clicking on a shit twitter link'.

Larry, like a lot of black conservatives like to tell other blacks racism does not exist. Stop playing the victim to racism. Once those same black conservatives receive some blow back, all of a sudden racism exists and they are a victim of racism. What we saw in the video is not a hate crime. Throwing an egg at someone is not a hate crime. The woman who threw the egg at Larry did not hurl racial slurs his way. Conservatives are trying to inject racism and hate crimes into an event that has nothing to do with race and hate crimes.

Did you post in the wrong thread?

We learned long ago that anything that could possibly be interpreted as racism, is racism. Even when it's not intended as racism, it's still racism. ESPECIALLY when it's not intended. Remember the maxim: "How did racism manifest in this situation?"

A white person wearing a gorilla mask attacking an uppity black man who is trying to unseat a white politician is DEFINITELY racism. Please do not insult us by pretending that you do not understand the context and history of black folks being subjected to gorilla references.

Nope.

A white person wearing a gorilla mask attacking an uppity black man who is trying to unseat a white politician is DEFINITELY racism.

Nope, where's the racism? A white woman is a racist just because she's wearing a gorilla mask. What kind of mask should she be wearing and not be considered racist?

Please do not insult us by pretending that you do not understand the context and history of black folks being subjected to gorilla references.

So you know she picked a gorilla mask because Larry is black? When did she say that's why she's wearing a gorilla mask? Once she heard Larry was going to be walking in the neighborhood she specifically went shopping to find a gorilla mask? She went to the store to buy that specific mask because Larry is black? A white woman wearing a gorilla mask is racist? It's not. If, while wearing the mask she yelled, "hey Larry! I'm your mother", then that would be racist". Just wearing a mask? No racism.

There's no racism here. She did not hurl any racial slurs Larry's way, she said nothing racist towards him or many any racist gestures.

Wow, you're deliberately insulting everyone by pretending that you do not understand the context and history of black folks being subjected to gorilla references. After I specifically instructed you not to.

“The question is not ‘did racism take place?’ but rather, ‘how did racism manifest in this situation?”
