Yes, animals ought to be able to stand up, extend their limbs, and turn around... the nerve of those commies! How dare they!

Yeah I read about the animal cruelty blah blah blah, re read the article and you should see it for all pigs, chickens and calves. Even this farm](https://www.youtube.com/c/JustaFewAcresFarm) would have problems selling in California. The article and law fails to explain what farms would be exempt or how to enforce the law. How does one tell if the livestock was range feed or locked up in small pens.

https://www.cdfa.ca.gov/ahfss/Prop12.html and yes a day will come when California can no longer eat meat, enjoy eggs or milk thanks to Animal rights organizations. I hope law enforcement is ready for what comes after that.

You have to be certified to sell in California. To be certified you can't have breeding pigs confined to less than 24 square feet.

When you audit them, you see if they've got pens. If they have pens you measure the smallest one to see what the area is.

A pig in a pen that is 24 square feet or more still feeds the farrow. Meat still results. It's just a little bit pricier, because it requires a little bit more land.

The proposition is not for all covered animals. I read the text - proposition 12 - and the verbiage is precisely as I described above.

As for enforcement, I have no idea. This seems like a decommodification of unprecedented scale
