To 'pass away' is generally thought of as dying of natural causes.

This man is assumed to have died of suicide, while on bond for manslaughter charges.

Probably the only way he could get out of his record labels contract to be honest. If it was in fact suicide.

To 'die of suicide' is generally thought of as committing an act of violence upon oneself.

The Dallas Morning News reports that Robertson was arrested on a murder charge last year after the shooting death of his best friend, Khalil Walker. He was indicted on a charge of manslaughter earlier this year and was free on bond.

A bright future ahead indeed.
