Great critique on the NYT article. Almost all the over 1,000 comments by readers shredded the author, the headline, the pull quote, the “came out of nowhere” language. The top five comments liked by readers had 500+ “likes” each.

The author had his head sliced off and handed to him on a silver platter by NYT readers. Readers said: Yeah this “came out of nowhere” if you had your eyes closed and your fingers in your ears; mentioned the Connecticut trans high school runners & lawsuits; disagreed that the small # of trans athletes meant this was no big deal; said hey, science of male & female anatomy, hello.

I couldn’t stop reading the comments. Because this is the New York Times readership—educated and influential, and ppl were commenting on trans overreach, science denialism hypocrisy, etc.

Thx for the link.

“If you can’t control your own emotions, you’re forced to control other people’s behaviour. That’s why the touchiest, most oversensitive and easily upset must not set the standard for the rest of us.”

Man that's a good quote.
