Is the grid back up? My friend in Texas hasn't sent any mail to me for over a week and the MSM ignores the situation.

Power has been stable for me, we haven't even had a boil order for a while but the water was gross looking and I still am using bottled water. It took a while for the water pressure to be decent, that's a relatively recent improvement -- they were still hunting down all the leaks I guess -- and this might just be a Me issue but our hot water has been iffy. I still am unsure day to day if the water will warm. Makes showers interesting.

On that last note, I don't think Texans have ever been so smelly in general.

Thanks Musky. I've spent only about two months in Texas total but I like it, especially Houston—fourth largest city in the US for anybody who doesn't know. And the people are easy to get along with but you know that. Do you put any stock in the theory that Texas and particularly Houston have been the victims of weather control over the last few years? It sounds farfetched but that hurricane that passed over Houston and then backtracked and stayed over the city for days is something I've never heard of and I grew up in hurricane country. Just skip that question if you like. I hope things normalize soon.

I don't know about weather control, but I've mentioned before that I have pain flare ups with the weather and it's just been getting worse. I can't be sure that's not just me getting worse, but we have months where it's one big weather event coming in after another and I don't remember that being so common.

I can't imagine someone would want to do this, our weather is costing billions of dollars in damages. But we certainly have influenced the effects of the weather. We flood as bad as we do because we've paved over too much of our natural drainage with concrete. Part of the problem anyways.

It is mostly back up as I understand it. Now the issue seems to be water. Apparently some water treatment system are having trouble because of conditions. Hey, but the main thing is that the rich people got richer.

:) Well, then, everything is normal. Thanks since the regular media does not report much on this. Hope you are well.

Thirty-something days to retirement.

I think you're going to like it. You wake up in the morning and there is nothing to do except whatever you want. Congrats in advance.

Rich people getting richer, that does seem like something you'd enjoy, Nema.
