In this book, author Zhu Youzhi asserts that “Primitive Europe was brought into the “civilization of the world” by China, from which it obtained writing, navigation, technology, economy, bureaucracy, democracy, philosophy, and history.

Democracy from China? Haha. And he wants to claim bureaucracy.

In the UK we literally call bureaucrates mandarins.

That's fucking retarded. The Chinks were xenophobic and didn't travel. It was white people who went all the way to china. It was white people who built the silk road. Imagine having the audacity to claim that it was the travelers who learned to travel from the places they traveled to!

The Chinks were xenophobic and didn't travel.

Chinese original coastal territories were unfit for living. Rome and Greece, on the contrary, formed in the Mediterranean region. Chinese were trying to create a direct route to Rome by conquering lands. Greeks and Romans had conquered Egypt with its channel.

Once Muslims had blocked the channel, Europeans learnt to travel around Africa and became super travelers. Once China had managed to get some good coasts, it learnt to built ships. But cultural tendencies have deep roots and change slowly without a crisis.

All people are natural travelers, our bodies are designed for it. Travel until you find a good land, cultivate it to its limits, wait for the climate to change, do a screaming pikachu face and go back to travelling.

We live in the Golden Age of Conspiracies.

A Chinese professor claims that the Egyptian pyramids, the Parthenon, and other remnants of ancient civilizations in the West, were all faked by Western scholars in order to fabricate an ancient history, and diminish the glory of China.

Hong Kong News outlet Hong Kong 01 is just one of many Chinese language media who reported on the farcical claims after Professor Huang Heqing broadcast one of his lectures live to the internet recently.

While ultranationalist conspiracy theories are not rare in China (or indeed, in any other country), what makes this story even more bizarre is that Huang teaches in the School of Arts and Archeology at Zhejiang University – one of the oldest, most selective, and prestigious universities in China.

Huang Heqing stated in his lecture that from the 19th to 20th centuries, the West was rampantly forging historical and cultural relics, and spending huge sums of money everywhere from the Mediterranean to India, fabricating fake ancient relics.

The Pyramids of Khufu, and the Great Sphinx of Giza, were made of concrete, and constructed in the 19th century, Huang claims.

“A well-known French chemist and material scientist conducted physical and chemical analysis on the Khufu pyramid in the 1980s, and confirmed that other than a small amount of natural stone, it mostly consisted of concrete,” says Huang, referring to the controversial theories of Joseph Davidovits, who posits that the Egyptians built the pyramid using a limestone-based cement invented thousands of years before the Romans invented concrete.

“Another materials scientist from the United States came to a similar conclusion,” Huang says.

“In addition, the stones at the bottom of the Pyramid of Khufu have a “lip shape”, which is obviously a sign they were cast,” Huang said. “The ancient Egypt we know today is actually a fairy tale fabricated by the Western orthodox historians since the 19th century.”

If he thinks the pyramids and sphinx are what definite the extent of civilisation in Egypt then he needs to be out of a job.

We don't judge history by the state of a country's tourist traps.

It's much like the "we were kings" rhetoric from Africans about the history they falsely claim for themselves.

The trouble with kings is there tends to be just one of them for every couple of million serfs.

We live in the second dark ages. Colleges have lost all credibility. Professors are leading the way with retarded propaganda. Education is indoctrination. Otherwise intelligent people will claim that if an "expert" said it then it must be true. Appeal to authority is the norm among the "educated". People can't tell the difference between empiricism and appeal to authority.

In a rational world that professor would be asked for proof by literally everyone, and without it no one would ever spread their insane ramblings.

Chinese professor: There were no ancient western civilizations, just modern fakes made to demean China

Well, I read a Japanese book that claims China got all of their ancient stuff from Japan.

That was really unneeded. So far there was mutual respect regarding the Greek and Chinese civilizations, and there was even an academic current to examine common elements and possible contacts between them from thousands of years ago. So this kind of attack is unjustified and I don't see what they expect to accomplish with that.
