i am not a well educated person. when i was a child, i was made to understand that the democrats were the common "joe lunchbox" types of people that rooted for the ordinary people, while the republicans were the upper crust kinds of people that typically dont work very hard for their money..

i always thought it was a bit stupid that we separated our country into two groups like that, and now we have taken stupid and put it on steroids.

in todays's world, the terms democrat and republican no longer have any thing to do with politics, but instead they are terms that are used to identify the two sides of a war.
