Yeah. I want soldiers who are all alike. Is this news? If I need soldiers with political opinions, I will tell them which opinions to have.

This is literally politicizing the military, a very dangerous step that has historically had very bad outcomes.

No. It is soldiers doing what the heck I tell them to do.

"I was only following orders" is what led to 6 million dead Jews. Fascinating to know that you support the discredited "befehl ist befehl" that was rejected as a defense at the Nuremberg trials. People like you were convicted and hanged.

Discipline is the prompt obedience to orders and the initiation of proper action in the absence of orders. I do not need soldiers with opinions.

It's frightening how little you know about the military and how fascist you become the moment you are able.

"Leftist psychologists have an amusingly simplistic conception of military organizations and military men. They seem to base it on occasions they have seen troops marching together on parade rather than any real knowledge of military men and the military life. They think that military men are "rigid" -- automatons who are unable to adjust to new challenges or think for themselves. What is incomprehensible to them is that being kadaver gehorsam (to use the extreme Prussian term for following orders) actually requires great flexibility -- enough flexibility to put your own ideas and wishes aside and do something very difficult. Ask any soldier if all commands are easy to obey."

If I know so little about the military, do I have to send the pension checks back?

It's obvious you didn't learn anything if you think soldiers aren't supposed to think and should follow orders no matter what.

Say, what do you think about the principle of Command Responsibility? And Yamashita? You obviously studied this in class.

Cool. Now get back in formation.
