people of color

Okay, this is going to be one of those ridiculous articles. The writer seems to be trying to say colored people, but wanted to include some mental gymnastics.

Gotta love how they only looked for colored criminals this cop encountered. Hey, it was 2020. Everyone knew that the coloreds shouldn't be interfered with by the police, because that would be racist...

When an angry Code challenged the former cop to press down harder, “he did.”

An angry colored criminal requested more pressure, and the cop obliged. Why did he give the criminal what it wanted? Then, it asked not to be killed, and once again he gave the criminal what it wanted. WTF is up with this guy?

All this for a guy who had overdosed on Fentanyl, apparently visible swallowing a packet on video, resisting arrest, then being taken to the hospital for his drug overdose and dying over an hour after the hospital received him.

This is one of the stupidest narratives I've ever seen.

"It?"

Pronoun. Used for referring to a thing, situation, place, animal, etc. when it has already been mentioned.

In this case, "angry colored criminal".

It is pronoun used for things and animals, not for people. Is English your first language?

colored

Yes, it's used for things and animals, not for people. English is my primary language, and I'm relatively proficient in its use. I say relatively, as I'm still bemused by the colon and semi-colon, along with several other facets that could use improvement.

So why are you using it incorrectly?

As for punctuation, the rule is simple. "Whenever you feel a need to use a semicolon just lie down until the the feeling passes."

They're not actual humans, either socially or genetically.

I used a semicolon yesterday, as the structure seemed beyond a comma, but less than two separate sentences. Have used a dash - like this - in previous situations where I was kind of just winging it. I know, a real grammar Nazi would toss me into a work camp. I suppose I'm just not the perfectionist I sometimes imagine myself to be.

I am a bit of an expert in grammar. I still make mistakes. Further, grammar rules are really more like guidelines. Live & let live I say.

How do you figure someone is not actually a person? Do you think they might be one of them lizard people?

To be a human, you need certain genetic components, which the sub-saharan africans lack. You'd need to refer to the research on that for further details, as I'm not a geneticist.

As for the lizard people, the closest I've seen is those girls who split their tongues for sexual pleasure purposes. If you've ever seen that on video, they have far more control over the two sides than you'd expect. It's not as bad as spacedicks, but still makes me cringe a little to imagine having my tongue cut in half.

"African" requires a capital (as we are discussing writing).

If you are not trained in genetics, why would you use that science as a justification for your exceptionally strange & offensive use of the language?

He forced criminals to swallow fentanyl and overdose?
