It doesn't stop there, plenty mroe, way more strict shit is hidden within the bill's text.

It outlines MINIMUM SENTENCES of in some cases 15 or even 25 years (at minimum!) for beraking the draconian, completely senseless laws entailed within the bill.

“(2) PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION.—A psychological evaluation is conducted in accordance with this paragraph if—

“(A) the evaluation is conducted in compliance with such standards as shall be established by the Attorney General;

“(B) the evaluation is conducted by a licensed psychologist approved by the Attorney General;

“(C) as deemed necessary by the licensed psychologist involved, the evaluation included a psychological evaluation of other members of the household in which the individual resides; and

“(D) as part of the psychological evaluation, the licensed psychologist interviewed any spouse of the individual, any former spouse of the individual, and at least 2 other persons who are a member of the family of, or an associate of, the individual to further determine the state of the mental, emotional, and relational stability of the individual in relation to firearms.

So in order to be compliant, the psychologist HAS to interview at least their spouse or a former spouse, and at least two family members or associates.

Basically you can only protect yourself if you get along with all members of your family, and none of them are hyper anti gun nuts, AND you've never had any kind of arguments or heavy disagreements with anyone that they might be bitter towards you, AND you magically have good relations with all your exes and they're just your exes for no particular reason.

If by "decent" you mean "only allowed for the rich who are approved by the government" then yes, it would be "decent". This mandates a 24 hour training course with yearly payments. Basically a NFL 'tax' stamp just to defend yourself. Not to mention the waiting period, which is great for those terrified of people violating restraining orders. Oh, and btw, it also asks your ex-spouse for information on how "stable" you are. The registry also lists not only what guns you have, but where they are- and makes such a list available to the public. Thus, it is a government mandated shopping list for criminals who do want guns.
