I used to be more liberal but they've been going in a direction I think is incredibly foolish. But conservatives can be downright heartless sometime.

I'm reading this whole series of books by Jaxon Reed, Agents of the Planetary Republic. I think it's youth fiction but they're entertaining. The thing is the good guys are Libertarians and the bad guys are socialists and democrats. Lots of political views snuck in. Lots of onomatopoeia too. That's... Different.

He makes some good points though, I agree with the Libertarian philosophy to an extent.

That was a big disappointment with him. It was stupid for him to be so lazy on the tech side. One of the first things Obama did was revamp whitehouse.gov. Trump could have used that in some way as his official megaphone.

This might be why Gab went down yesterday. I thought they where DDoS'd by the Communists, but perhaps it was an accidental DDoS by Trump supporters flocking to a safe haven.

I'd recommend that anyone still using Twitter or Parler make a Gab account ASAP. Twitter is going into a communist crack-down, and Parler might be erased from the face of the Internet at any moment.

Yep - when it's possible to follow the money, this sometimes links to the Koch brothers, and to PACS. Opportunitsts have been making $ millions with extreme right wing websites, because they can, not because of "free speech". There should be an FCC law requiring them to reveal their funding.

Free speech does not mean "speech without consequence". It means the government cannot penalize you. Private companies are under no obligation to provide anyone with a platform for speech.

I kind of just want a new tech platform that doesn’t ban people for having a conservative view, but isn’t centered around conservative views, much less Trump as an individual.

This is why I enjoy saidit, I just wish there were more of us.
