What if he's a long time republican who faked being antifa to cause problems for the left and was being his true self at the Capitol?

Or he could be an embedded freelance journalist.

A journalist for the NYT was attacked, her camera lens broken, and ID taken by the terrorists. They almost got her camera.

Anyone calling the people rallying terrorists is a retard at best. The media are the terrorists. Literally.

I hope you and /u/Zapped appreciate that journalists and 'freedom of the press' are the main reasons you also have the benefit of the first amendment and many other forms of freedom. Those of you who favor authoritarian governments that limit the news media should move to countries that do this. Also, read about political history.

The people pretending to be journalists today are not, and have no claim to the accomplishments of journalists from the past. The media has been entirely corrupted and captured by propagandists. Calling them out for their bullshit does not mean I am for authoritarianism, that is a completely bullshit claim. You are clearly a propagandist, as you have shown time and again.

Here's how you are supporting authoritarianism:

You refer to "the media" as if all forms of "media" are the same (this is what authoritarian propagandists want you to believe, so that you will mistrust everyone except the loudest voices.

Rather than believe simplified propaganda, read reliable resources:

Not only is that the most illogical connection for "supporting authoritarianism", but the entire premise is ass backwards. Authoritarians own the media and demand that their media is trusted. They suppress all non authorized media, exactly how the tech oligopoly is doing. Reality is literally 180* from what you are claiming.

The media we have is owned by a tiny collection of people who are very inconspicuously similar in very important ways. They have demonstrated many times that they operate in concert. The way they all decided to start banning people like Alex Jones all together, as if they shared a brain. Calling out this authoritarian propaganda machine is the exact opposite of supporting authoritarianism.

Why do you insist on oversimplifying news media into 'media' and considering all of is under the ownership of authoritarians? You do realise that Alax Jones is funded by authoritarians, don't you, and everything he says is a lie, meant to support the Koch brothers and the extreme right? Study the media bias chart in my post above. Authoritarians can only gain power if they can convince you that all of the news media is the same, or that news media that do not support the disinformation of Alax Jones are themselves the corrupt. And if you don't believe me, ask others.

Now you're talking out of your ass. I don't know if you're a troll or having trouble with comprehension.

[–]Canbot 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

He is 100% a troll. This is not the first time he makes absolutely absurd claims and pretends to not understand what has been said in order to try and spin it.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

1) Thanks for indicating that I was not talking out of my ass earlier.

2) I shouldn't have to explain the importance of freedom of the press and freedom of speech. Those of you who want to attack journalists are wrong on so many levels (eg. really dumb; love sucking authoritarian assholes; don't undstand basic history and civics, want to live as slaves to the 1%; etc, etc.).

I think this is the guy everyone is talking about. He admitted climbing through a window, but in the pictures and videos I've seen of him, he's just following alongside with his phone/camera. He's the one who didn't stay inside the velvet ropes. Ha. Also, I think he's the one who got the clearer video of Ashli Babbit being shot.
