I know about the guy who came up with DNA. Scientists sometimes let their political beliefs overcome their science.

Especially scientists in the liberal West. They're not allowed to challenge the egalitarian dogma. China, though, isn't hamstrung by the same sort of political correctness, and their scientists are leading in the study of human biodiversity.

Neanderthals were different for real.

Why? If Neanderthals were still around, they would be just another race. We managed to have fertile hybrids with them, right? That would suggest that they cannot be a separate species. Even today, interracial pairings have reduced fertility, but they are capable of producing fertile offspring nonetheless.

Most human beings in the world are a subset of African DNA plus some remnants of Neanderthal DNA. The vast majority of homosapien pre-history takes place in Africa.

Out-of-Africa is based in ideology. It is just as easy to develop a theory of human origins in Asia (as China does) or anywhere else. It's arbitrary to a great degree, and will likely remain pure speculation for many more years.
