Legal abortion encourages and enables women to have them. Kind of like child support and 50/50 expense sharing during a 75/25 custody arrangement encourages single motherhood. Alimony encourages divorce. Leaving your car unlocked enables auto-burglers.

People do the wrong thing because people choose to. If it weren't so easy, less people would choose it.

If people had to wait 15 minutes for McDonalds, the company would be out of business by now. It's an easy choice for people who are not motivated to choose something better.

If you really hated abortion, you would give men hardly any custody while forcing them to pay 100% of the costs. You just want to burden women with all of the responsibilities and give all of the rewards to men. I suppose you are free to hate women. I think your life will be more pleasant if you choose to be gay.

Not if they don't pay for it. If men, who you obviously hate, are forced to pay for it after consensual sex, that's an entitlement to women. Entitlements are not empowerment.

I got a girl pregnant and we decided we didn't want it. I forked out half the cash for the operation. No empowerment needed, no entitlements given. Two responsible and consenting adults taking care of business. If you want to go get knocked up by any fucker and make him pay for the consequences, you're just a two cent bitch.

Who said anything about who pays for it? Who the fuck said anything about entitlement?

But if you really hate entitlement the most, the struggles of single motherhood are what makes the welfare state possible.

The most expensive part of welfare (as in welfare for poor people) is the medical. And delivering babies is way more expensive than abortion.

Besides, it isn't your run of the mill divorced mother of 3 who is the welfare queen. The tax brakes and subsidies for those already exceeding rich pales in comparison to food and housing subsidies for working families.

You took us off the topic abortion. The OP was telling us that abortion was always bad. You are happy with your abortion and your problem is the sense of entitlement you believe others have.

Thinking there is no such thing as a somewhat logical version of liberalism is perhaps the biggest fallacy you practice.

Abortion is emperment. Abortion means more freedom. Abortion means a women can ditch the man who got her pregnant. Abortion means more money. Few things in life are as liberating as getting an abortion. After all, you paid for half of an abortion for a reason.
