Diogenes, I'm not trying to clutch at pearls here, but the "opioid epidemic," the reason people are being left in pain to die without any comfort, is pretty shitty. In your final hours you sure as shit want doctors to be allowed to give you pain meds. And you may not have that comfort. Even having surgery these days is brutal, you just get tylenol for major surgery.

Opioids aren't generally neurodegenerative.
