Odd that they won't take donations. The answer seems to be "they blacklisted us from every payment option" but a lot of commenters pointed out that they could take BitCoin — maybe they can't pay in BC? There are a few conspiracy theories in the comments, but I won't entertain them right now.

Regardless, Saidit might get a lot of refugees after Voat goes dark, so we might have a bit of work on our hands. We should try to be hospitable, though, so they can speak freely; I'm sure a lot of them will respect the rules, even if some are trolls. Though it doesn't seem like we're on their radar quite yet.

I actually made a Voat account a few months back, but never used it.

Because they can't take responsibility for their own failings, and "dajoos" are psychologically easy to scapegoat because there is such a long history of bigotry towards them that weak minds can rationalize that "there must be something there."
