I've loved Voat but many people don't want open discussion of things to arrive at the facts, but similar emotion-laden steering towards the preferred explanations.

It's a troll paradise, especially the anon Qtar... er, Q follower sub. Some incredibly sincere flat earthers too. Quite a few fairly unique characters, all in all. It's like here, if half of us were in a cult, and the other half were some variation of 'different'.
