It's not risky, it's suicide.

As opposed to yielding to the rich like we do now?

Yep.
More people have been killed by their own governments than by all wars combined. They call it democide.
Governments are invariably dominated by power-hungry personalities (entitled empathy-challenged liars, not to mention full-blown narcissists, Machiavellians, and psychopaths).
So, Governments are to be regarded as murderous Gulliver's among the tiny people of Lilliput. The miracle of the US constitution tied the US government down and constrained it to the service of the people. But Gulliver never stops plotting how to constrain the people to its service (and kill the rest), as ever did kings of old.
Knowing this, the authors of the constitution provided that the government may not restrict the free speech that is at the heart of freedom, or the right to bear arms, allowing the people to discipline Gulliver as necessary "with the blood of patriots". Since 1947 Gulliver has controlled speech in America via the known CIA control of "all major assets in American media" (William Colby). Now gun sales are up.
Murderous Gulliver AKA Mr. Global AKA the NWO is now on every channel worldwide saying "let me have a lot more control quickly, and I can save you from the Coronavirus boogeyman."
"Who exchange essential freedom for a little temporary safety shall have neither." -Ben Franklin
Global totalitarianism has just rolled tanks into the lives of The People. Let's be clear about that.
Yield and we deserve what we get. Resist and we at least honor those ancestors whose sacrifice of blood and treasure bequeathed to us the liberty we have enjoyed. There is hope in resistance. We owe our children that.

People should not fear their government; governments should fear the people.
So if you see what I see, if you feel how I feel, then rise up and mail a dead fish wrapped in a newspaper to Mitch McConnell.

Do you really want the same government that can’t balance its own budget to be in charge of yours?
It seems to be pretty good at avoiding the consequences. Watching creditors trying to collect their money when the debtor has a bigger army could be entertaining.
