Whatever. Pay back will come in time.

God forbid the government function as intended! Payback for...what exactly?

You know, there used to be a 60% required in the Senate to confirm a candidate. But during Obama, the Democrats did away with that. The Republicans warned and warned, this is a bad idea, it fuels radical partisanship, it will have no good end. Democrats didn't listen. This was called "the nuclear option".

And we know why now. Everyone expected Hillary to win. It was going to be a permanent Democrat majority, forever. But oops, that didn't happen. Who could have thought that nominating a criminal warmonger was a bad idea?

And now that the other party is using the nuclear option that the Democrats created...it's time for payback? For what?

I understand the Senate Republicans refused to allow President Obama a Supreme Court nominee. Now they are going to try to rush through a Trump nominee. I suppose they will be paid back for that.

Elections have consequences.

Here’s What Democrats Said About Filling A Supreme Court Vacancy In 2016. “Elections have consequences,” then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said, according to Politico. “The president has a responsibility to nominate a new justice and the Senate has a responsibility to vote.”

2016: VP Joe Biden slammed Senate Republicans for citing the "Biden Rule" as reasoning for why they won't hold a hearing for Merrick Garland, Obama's Supreme Court pick. Biden said the so-called rule that supposedly prevents Supreme Court nominations in an election year "doesn't exist."

So what you are saying is the there will be a payback for whatever the Republicans do? I find that very wise & insightful.

Payback for the Democrats own ideas?

Regarding fellow Americans as the enemy is the way we lose our republic.
