        In today's world where there are 20+ types of birth control, 5 cent condoms (even free ones at every health clinic), easy access to sex education online, apps to track your cycle, cheap ovulation tests, and even the morning after pill, is abortion really THAT essential when there are already 20+ choices (many non-invasive) and the knowledge of risk? Not to mention that there are plenty of non-PIV ways to be intimate if you're ovulating.

        In a perfect world we'd have lots of choices and 0 abortions. Maybe one day we'll strive for that, especially since abortion is not 100% healthy for the woman getting one (physically and mentally), and can honestly be quite traumatic and cause infertility issues down the line.

            I have a hard line of no post-first trimester (up to 12 weeks) abortions outside of some sort of serious defect or the pregnancy being life threatening. My own line would be 9 weeks, but I'm not sure that I could go through the process myself. I certainly don't consider them to be anymore than the framework of basic human anatomy til after maybe 9 weeks. They don't have complex enough brain/nervous system development that early on to even feel pain.

              Well, of course Ginsburg was not on the Court to vote on Roe v Wade. Her comments calling the decision unwise probably mirror my thought quite closely.

              Black women have abortions at 5x the rate of white women.

              Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot by trying to ban abortion. If you thought the dindu plague was bad now, just give it a few decades of abortion being illegal.

              It seems like a contradiction to a leftist for someone to be for a reduction in minorities and be against murder even though it leads to a reduction in minorities because leftists don't understand having principles. Murdering babies is wrong, even if it does have desirable qualities. (I'm not saying it does have desirable qualities)

              It is wrong to murder babies even if rich women will find a way to do it anyway, that is not an argument to support abortions. Murder is illegal even though it still happens.
