I would like to hear how they were able to rule out non biological sources. That seems like a very presumptuous claim about the nature of chemistry on a planet so completely foreign to us that we know more about Uranus than we do about Venus. The most logical explanation should not be hand waved away.

I think if they looked on a Saturday night they might see more activity. But seriously, if you go to the Big Island be sure to take the tour up to the telescope.
