Breaking: 2 police officers were shot in Compton CA. One male deputy and one female deputy were ambushed as they sat in their patrol vehicle, the shooter just walked up to their vehicle and shot them in the head. Suspect is still at large.

I agree completely, they ruined any chance we had for meaningful police reform by making it just about race. I'm mad as hell at that organization, they fucked over themselves and everyone else. They probably won't even get what they want now because people are sick of their criminality. I'm teetering between blind rage and crippling depression just thinking about it. And the fucking Democrats are pandering to this nonsense! I was a Democrat until this.

I hope you're right. The public has a limited attention span and only so much they'll tolerate, look at how Occupy Wall Street fizzled out. BLM is only interested in reform against racist police and while I'm sure some small % of cops are racist, that's not the issue and when trying to fix a problem you're likely going fail if you're trying to solve the wrong problem. I suppose they might accidentally make things better, but I can also imagine a scenario such as new legislation that only targets racist police and that's just not going to matter for the majority of the victims of police abuse.
