I posted "an uncomfortably honest review" of this movie from Youtube—you can find it elsewhere here.

It sounds like this movie isn't really everything that it seems. I don't know, I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds like it's designed to make you uncomfortable with the subject. If it is exploitation, maybe it's for the "right" reason—if there is such a thing.

Drawing attention to child exploitation by exploiting children. Riiiiight.

Just like how Pete Townsend was only researching a book about pedophiles when he was found with oedophilia on his computer.

It's not clear that it is child exploitation—but it does come close to the line.

I suspect that none of the images in the movie are actually illegal, or else it wouldn't be on Netflix. And yet, something about it makes us all uncomfortable and outraged, unlike "Honey Boo Boo" which is about organized beauty pageants.

This movie shows kids being kids. And we don't like what we see the kids doing. Doesn't that reflect on the adults and the culture we've created for them?

Pete Townsend wrote about it in his book and he describes it differently.

I said "if" it is exploitation, which is what makes this complicated. The story is about young girls filming themselves doing "sexy" dances. It sounds messed up and uncomfortable, for obvious reasons.

But guess what—kids start doing those things at that age. If we can't hold a mirror up to them and examine why our culture motivates little girls to do that, we're just lying to ourselves.

My point is that this film is NOT as simple as "look at these little girls being sexy". You should feel uncomfortable watching it.

Have you watched Beasts of no Nation about child soldiers? That is a painful film to watch. This actually sounds like something similar.

So what? Does anyone think this will end with anything other than a full exoneration?

Netflix has an army of lawyers at their disposal. It's best just to login and give a thumbs down to this shit. Their algorithm does pick these "protest votes" up. Maybe someday one of those degenerates will pay attention to their own data, and not just use it to determine what to recommend,.

Nah, it's best to not pay money for their garbage in the first place, and laugh at those who do.
