Warren said two key pieces led to DuBoise's murder conviction: bite mark evidence on Gram's body and jail informant testimony.

Both unreliable as fuck.

Bite mark is known to be pseudo-science by real scientists, full stop, and jail house informant...well anyone who ever relies on jail-house informants' testimony to send one of their fellow citizens to jail is a miscreant. In fact, if a lawyer presents jail-house informant testimony to any jury I am a part of the best he/she/attack-helicopter can hope for is a hung jury.

I was watching an old episode of the Forensic files where some guy was convicted solely from bite marks... I winced so hard.

I saw a documentary on the guy who started it and profited from it. It was sickening. Take-away lesson- academic experts and elites are full of shit idiots.

You will recall Florida has the death penalty.

State Attorney Andrew Warren said that there is "not one shred of evidence" that DuBoise is guilty of the crime.

"For 37 years we've had an innocent man locked up for a crime he did not commit but the real perpetrator was never held accountable for this horrific murder," Warren said. "I apologize to Mr. DuBoise on behalf of the entire criminal justice system."

Imagine how many people are rotting in jails or prisons on the basis of pseudoscience and miscarriages of "justice". On the basis of how they speak, how they look, how tall they are, how attractive they are. More attractive people get lighter sentences and innocent declarations than less attractive ones, for example. Our entire court system is one gigantic joke, "fire science" is not science, "bite mark" analysis is just guessing, it's all horseshit built to advantage prosecutors and police to secure convictions using lies.

On top of all this, we have the death penalty. When the innocence project was funding DNA testing, of those they tested, some 30-40% of the tests resulted in a reversal. We don't even do mandatory DNA testing, "too expensive". Of course the innocence project carefully selected who to test on the basis of the case details, but those high numbers either way indicate our justice system is involved in anything but justice. Then you have the plea bargain abuses on top of that. It's a travesty, from top to bottom.
