NASA will use any stuff they believe in till it fails often enough and enough people died because of this. Or they burned through enough funding.

Like the German developed rocket they stole. Or the space shuttles.

OR they outsource their stuff to somebody who is just as incompetent in space-tech as they are. Like Elon.

Fact is: Only German-speaking people and Russians have any competence in designing rockets or space-stations. Everything else flying around in orbit or higher is either stolen tech (China, India, Japan) or a really bad copy of sme elses tech (Pakistan, Iran).

They may be in fact just another church.

Anything else is just a fairy-tale from hollywood.
