What the fuck is wrong with these idiots? After the victim saw what was happening he immediately began going into a submissive posture. They literally murdered him when he was trying to obey orders. Pieces of shit.

He's either getting robbed or it's the cops

Yeah, and in both of those situations you should be carrying.

Or to try not to encounter them at all since they are stupid, rabid animals looking for fights. I'm a 5'1" white woman, you would think they wouldn't have any beef with me, yet I've had more than one tried to start shit out of nowhere. If you're trained to look for criminals that is all you're going to see.

The reality of the situation we live in is that cops have itchy trigger fingers, nervous, jumpy, and there's several videos of cops absolutely going nuts when there is any mention of a gun

Yes. Even more reason to stay strapped.

Assert your rights all you want but your best chance at surviving a law enforcement encounter is to come off in a non-threatening manner.

How was he being threatening in any way? He did exactly what they told him and they shot him anyway.

Either way. If this guy was getting robbed by people pretending to be cops. Whatever he was trying to accomplish by being Billy bad ass wouldn't have worked out either way.

Billy bad ass? Defending yourself is "being billy bad ass"? Do you suggest he should've gotten on his knees and deepthroat anyone who walked by his house?

Even if they were robbers, he would've been dead.

I doubt it. But even so, again, do you suggest submitting humbly to apes running wild in the streets?

      It's just weird.

No, it isn't weird, unfortunately. As much as the news media likes to report on "le poor poor black man who dindu nuffin gets shot by cops" or "le evil whitey criminal murderers" whites get killed by cops AND black criminals at an insane rate.

Maybe this all could've been avoided if our police weren't a bunch of dumb airheaded broads and 65 IQ wiggers like the ones who shot this man. Unfortunately, they purposely hire specifically people like that because they are easier to control.

And wouldn't you know, that neighbor that called just happened to have a raspy voice and a strange accent. Almost reminded me of a certain group of people that claim to be the chosen ones. really makes you think.

Why would the dude answer his door with a gun behind his back, kind of leaping out like that?

Because gun ownership is a joke. So many people just go to the range and shoot at some paper targets on the weekends thinking that it'll save them once society suddenly and rapidly collapses. It's such a cope. They pretend that it's them with their Beretta who is going to be the last stand of civilization against the hordes and they will will build anew.

I'm not against gun ownership in theory but some gun owners are just insufferable and the delusions of grandeur some of them have is super cringe.

I have to agree. Moreover there is the whole "we have the 2nd amendment, therefore we are safe from tyranny". No, you are definitely not. Certainly you aren't safe from being hypnotized into believing that the 2nd amendment means you are safe from any and all forms of tyranny. Which caliber is good against MSM brainwashing again? When tyranny takes on that form, the 2nd amendment will do as much for you as a comfy blanket and a glass of koolaid.

Exactly. The 2A is really just a big cope. It's to make older males feel better about themselves as they retreat from society. I fucking hate this attitude of "Oh, well I'm just going to move out into the forest/suburbs and everything will be fine!" no it fucking won't. That's the whole point you retard. These people are never going to leave you alone.

This is a response for all the 2A naysayers and finger waggers.

Iit's an interesting topic. Because a small group of individuals took over and maintained several square blocks in the city of Seattle. They even renamed it, and they gracefully gave it back to the city of Seattle recently.

Portland did the same, except in Portland they also essentially had federal troops evicted from the area..

A group of Armed men held off government goons over cattle grazing rights in an area there as well.

Small tribal groups armed with weapons held off the Soviets for 30 years and then the mighty US Army for at least 20 more in Afghanistan.

People who have trouble understanding the second amendment generally have trouble understanding the constitution, the declaration of independence especially, free speech, freedom and free will, religion and God, and thinking abstractly or independently. Freedom is a difficult concept, and there are a lot of ppl who just can't understand it, so don't feel bad, you aren't alone. Throughout written history, those who understand the concepts above are few and far between, so consider yourselves in good and typical company. it's nothing to be ashamed of, but it's good to be aware of it.. As well, that doesn't mean you have to be a believer, but not being one directly limits your comprehension in the underlying values espoused in our founding documents.

The framers, as they stated in the DOI, started with the premise that all of us are made in the image of God and have inherent value. As such, your rights come from God, and that a government's first and foremost function is the protection of these rights, that the govt is instituted by men for securing these rights.

But Because men are inherently flawed and your rights come from God and not the government, you should have the right to stand for yourself when no one other man or men will, including the institution of government.. You have the right to defend your life, to the point you will take another life if necessary, even if it means losing your own and you are accountable for your actions both in this life to men, and to God.

The above is likely lost on you. That's not especially strange given our society now. If you're a moral relativist or religious atheist as with most people now, the above is not only unintuitive, it's arcane and savage. You are now a practitioner of the predominant religion and belief systems in the US. Under these, you likely believe men are inherently good and most if not all of societal ills are due to the lack of education, exposure to harmful ideas or beliefs when young, or a system that oppresses certain groups at the expense of another to name a few.

The idea for the 2A is that you can defend yourself and your family even if it costs your life. This is a bridge to far for believers in the dominant religion of today. Not just that, it's 20XX and society is far more civilized now. Furthermore, there are few if any arguments to be made that government, not God is the grantor of rights. For them, they can see the government but can't see God. And regardless of what we were as a society/country 100 years ago and all of the terrible flaws that existed then, i think we are much father away from the values of the DOI now than then.

This is one of the primary reasons for the attacks on the meanings of words, "what's a man/woman" was a great place to start. But for a society without a compass, ask people what's a "right". You'll now here answers such as, healthcare, equal pay, or same sex marriage.

It's true there are always those who'll isolate to their own demise. The wickedness of man has no bounds.

The second amendment isn't for a moral and just society, it's for the one that isn't. If enough government goons lose their lives doing 3AM no knock raids over traffic tickets or missed tax payments, they Will stop 3AM no knock raids or they'll start looking for ways to ensure that when they do the 3AM no knock raid, they removed your ability to defend yourself because of some arbitrary rule you broke, like say a red flag law.

Of course, it's cool as long as it's them. After all it's 2020. Spoken like city dwellers, the government will take care of you..

Ultimately, it's likely we are now a people made to be ruled.

      [–]insta 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Iit's an interesting topic. Because a small group of individuals took over and maintained several square blocks in the city of Seattle. They even renamed it, and they gracefully gave it back to the city of Seattle recently.

They could've done it armed with water balloons and the results would've been the same. Please don't be foolish enough to take away from those events that "armed take overs work". Those were allowed to happen by sympathetic governments and weak/disenfranchised police unions. If people on the far-right tried the exact same thing in Arkansas they would be rolled on and crushed.

People who have trouble understanding the second amendment generally have trouble understanding the constitution

2A defenders always love to jump right into theoretical discussions about tyranny and freedom with nothing concrete to back it up. Outside of grazing rights for some rural workers gun owners have done little to nothing to stop the ever growing tyrannical gov't as of late. People like me who dismiss the 2A don't do it because I don't understand your theory, it's just that I never see if practiced and it seems like a whole bunch of hot air at this point. There's no reason for me to believe that a gun owner is going to shoot up the CPS worker who comes to take their child away for their required hormone therapy treatment, I just don't believe the gun owners. They're so full of shit.

The second amendment isn't for a moral and just society, it's for the one that isn't.

Order is more important than freedom. Guns are for a disorderly society, not just an immoral one. I feel like this is a big disconnect for people like you and I. I don't value freedom the same way you do. Freedom as many Westerners know it is a nice by-product of having a highly orderly and functional society. Freedom doesn't mean jack if you're society is crumbling.

Let's adult here and consider the proper procedure. 0) In case of a robbery, be armed is a given. 1) Should one open the door or tie up emergency lines asking first if officers are deployed? Assuming you don't want the police DDoS'd on every call, let's assume just opening the door like a normal person. Let's also assume you step onto the doormat so that your wife can shut and dead bolt the door behind you. This way your family will stay safe, even if you die. 2) Obviously you don't point your gun at people unless you want to shoot them, so it should be at your side. Should it be visible at the side or behind the back? Holstering is not always an option as it delays the response time and therefore increase the likelihood of getting your door destroyed (which you have to pay for since police do not pay for property damaged in the course of duty). Something tells me these jumpy cops would have freaked out even faster if a weapon was visible immediately. Isn't behind the back a more defensive, vulnerable posture? 3) If asked to put your hands up while holding a gun, isn't the best option to drop the tool and then put hands up? I do not see any better option here, especially with a flashlight in the eyes. I think this was an offensive action. Normal people do not shine lights in others' eyes. You know who does? Criminals. Mobsters. Soldiers. I would even say it would be justified to 'shoot blind' if someone purposely blinded you. I hold that stance with officers vs chaz in Seattle and I hold it with this guy. Again to repeat myself, if this guy had shot the officer who shined the light in his face (after hiding from the peephole) and I were on a grand jury the evidence, I would conclude it justified self defense. You do not attack people with lights or fists or tazers or guns. You will get shot. I don't care who you are.

And why did the police decided to hide from the peep hole? They know all apartments have them for a reason. How could it possibly be a good idea to not fully identify your uniform before interaction? I could understand that if your uniform was an obvious fake. Lastly, even besides shooting the guy who dropped his gun in the back execution-style, why aren't all requests for charges against officers given to the next higher level so that a second department can help remove corruption (police do not execute suspects) in case the local area is actually corrupt?

This annoying right-wing level of feminism is so annoying. "Men should just throw their lives away for wamen" is so fucking cringe. I'm not against protecting women but you really think men should just swing their doors open wide to step out whenever they are in danger for the off chance their women might be able to lock the door behind them? Seriously give your head a shake.

Something tells me these jumpy cops would have freaked out even faster if a weapon was visible immediately.

It pretty much was visible immediately. Did you watch the video? There's maybe a second or two for them to process the gun once the door opened and then he was dead.

      [–]SaidOverRed 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You are correct that it was viewable immediately. But it wasn't the first thing a normal person would see because he was not brandishing it at eye level. The cops only got the 1 time to view what was happening before the one hiding in the shadows decided to shoot the guy in the back. I had to review the slow motion before seeing the weapon despite it being held at the side.

I would like to say this is unbelievable but that just isn't the case sadly. Cops in the united states are just not trained well enough to handle the responsibility of carrying a lethal weapon. How many times does this need to happen before society wakes up takes appropriate action?

Training for cops was already bad before, but now with this defunding insanity sweeping the leftist cities, only the worst of the worst will want to be cops anymore. His apartment should be well lit anyways but we'll chalk that up to a landlord fuckup. But in any case, as responsible gun owner, I wouldn't walk that far out of my home with the gun in one hand like that. That was sloppy gun operation on his part. He DID, however, get into a submissive position as he was lowering the gun, the cop on his left had no reason to fire. Being cops, if they see a gun, they're going to fire. That's why I say it was a sloppy confrontation all around.

      [–]peace_love_comfort 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's the takeaway. I never open my door. 99% of the time it's a solicitor or someone at the wrong apartment. One time cops came because someone complained about the tags on my car. I didn't even answer for them until they really started pounding. These cops acted like criminals though. Why are they hiding in the shadows and shining a high powered flashlight right in his eyes. They're trying to hide and obscure his vision. It's a strange way to greet someone. Shining a light like that in someone's eyes is just a dick thing to do. At the least it's confusing. It's confusing me right now.

Those actions would immediately get you arrested or at the least questioned for acting aggressive and suspicious if performed on an officer. Phoenix and especially Arizona has long had a reputation for being an awful place when it comes to gung-ho cops and arcane laws.

As far as the caller with the noise complaint. Someone needs to send that queer a box of ear plugs. Seriously, if you can't afford to not live next to people when things annoy you. I can hear the incel nerd rage in his voice though. If someone ever confronted that dweeb he would just start repeating the quiet time rules like Milton from Office Space.

They deliberately stood out of sight so that when he looked through the peephole he didn't see anyone there. I would have gotten my gun before opening the door. This cop is a chickenshit Barney Fife that has no business being a cop.
