Well, you don't become a billionaire by running money-losing businesses. But it is her personal magazine and PR vehicle, so it's true she could fund it out of pocket if she wanted. So if she's closing it, it's probably for PR reasons. But it could also just be she's bored with it and also her staff all doesn't want to work because of covid, so she just decided to call it quits. But it could be related to allegations too. It's probably all tied together.

They both employed a lot of people , Oprah and Ellen. They are effectively buying their silence with paychecks. Covid comes, layoffs happen, people start spilling the beans

I remember when Ellen had on a crisis actor from the Las Vgas shooting done by the right to ban certain gun attachments. Ellen is part of government DoD perception management department when she needs to be. She's smarter than most of you.

Businesses like sit in restaurants not entertainment, which is getting more attention than ever before because so many other things are shut down. This is their time to grow.
