The bill that was passed was shit and managed to waste over a trillion dollars while failing to solve the problem.

The people that needed aide were those that lost jobs because of this pandemic. That was a fraction of the workforce. By sending checks to everyone in the workforce, it diluted the aide that should have only gone to those that needed it.

Similar story with the bailing out of corporations. All those companies that should have gone bankrupt because their spent their profits on share buybacks should have been allowed to fail. Their assets would have been liquidated and put to use by other leaner companies.
