Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer John Martino arrested Fiscal-Gonzalez after he received a tip about a woman collecting conchs from a concerned citizen. The officer arrived at the house where the Texas resident was staying and found the conchs in bins outside.

He told the Herald that most of the sea creatures were still alive and he was able to return them to the water.
