That's just not how things work. It's not simply your symptoms are less bad if you get fewer viruses in your body. You can have a tiny virus exposure and become dead. It depends on what your immune system does.

That's funny because thousands of doctors disagree with the headline.

Sources? I haven't seen these yet

I've been posting sources for a few months and others too so just look back in my posts by clicking on my name or just look for earlier posts on /s/coronavirus. There are multiple sources. Even Fauci has said masks are useless, then retracted.

there was one going around saying thousands but you click the link and it had 400

What does wearing a soggy rag over your breathing hole for 8 hours do for your health? What are your blood O2 levels after a couple hours?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Your O2 levels will be much much worse on a respirator with covid

Yes, doctors in the US killed 1000s of people with incorrect care by putting them on respirators for three weeks until their lungs gave out.

How does this help your propaganda attempt though?

Lol seriously? You're not just doubting covid studies but you think there's a worldwide conspiracy of willful medical malpractice by killing people with respirators?? Holy shit dude

No it is well proven that respirators kill people.
But the reporting is halted by the corrupt media and corrupt politicians.

This is possibly true under a very narrow set of circumstances.

It makes sense in hospital settings where doctors mask and unmask frequently, work in cold operating rooms (limits moisture buildup) and change masks frequently. Wearing a mask all day long in a 75 degree building is equivalent to having a petri dish attached to your face and operating with reduced O2.

And no more trouble to put on than a pair of glasses but nooo …

Now we need to see actual scientific testing...
Oh wait we already done that. And it showed that it did not work in practice.

So according to Feynmann, the theory is invalid. And we should use the scientific study to see how we can understand why exactly they did not work in practice, and adapt better methods.

The reason why I don't think masks help at this stage, is because we are already have 50% infected, and are reaching herd immunity. 80% of people have no problems and get never sick. They also never seem to spread it. Children don't spread it. The only time the virus is spread, is when it is replicating like crazy, which is the first 2 weeks, and only if the infected becomes sick.

So unless your state (area) has always been free of corona or are near old people, you don't need masks.

And instead of masks, just use HCQ, because people using it never get sick and don't spread it. Something that the corrupt media has forgotten to tell everyone.

It should be my choice whether or not I want to take the risk. No one should be making the choice for me. End of story!

It should be my choice whether I want to drink and drive, end of story!

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Its not the same thing and you know it. I'm not responsible for getting your grandma sick, its no one's fault

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

pretty similar, also wearing seatbelts and not smoking in public places, this fight has been fought many times now

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Similar in some sense but definitely not the same

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

similar though in that many denied the science and proof of why those things were beneficial decisions to require but eventually they calmed down and mostly accepted it. Of course not 100%. Many still drive around without seatbelts on, and many end of regretting that. And many people may not smoke in public spaces but do in private, and end up regretting that with lung cancer later. Of course that is their decision to make. The problem with this, the main difference you allude to, is that masks are meant to protect people from sick coronavirus people breathing on them. You may say the people at risk with bad immune systems should stay home but that is not realistic when they have to work and make money to survive and it is even harder for them to do so with extra risks.
