I appreciate them not mentioning that the "oppression" of free thoughtful debate by all the mechanisms listed, harkens Fascism's ways and means. Oh, the uproar I will get for that point of view of our changing systems. Please, expose your thought processes to this book: https://lorage.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Wilhelm-Reich-The-Mass-Psychology-of-Fascism-Farrar-Straus-Giroux-1980.pdf this book was burnt by many European peoples after it was written (1st edition) in 1933. This is the third addition and the fourth is special because he did this fourth edit after WWII. This book's information is why the opinion said above. Belief is not necessary only an open mind and thoughtful Pyramidal debate. ...create a great day...

I'm a little confused by what you're attempting to say. Are you simply pointing out that the oppression of open debate finds its roots in fascism?

I am fascinated by Wilhelm Reich though, even though I think he was a bit of a loon with all of that sexual energy orgone stuff. I recently read Peter Reich's book, A Book of Dreams which is basically his recount of his childhood memories of his father.

No oppression of debate is not rooted in fascism, yet governments/authorities are always involved when it rears its ugly head.

Reich is a fantastic writer to be able to express what he does in Mass Psychology of Fascism. What I would like others to experience through his work. These mechanisms of oppression are a two way street. The government and a portion (The numbers of people are media hyped-n-typed) of the population (being oppressed) supports the change for more oppression. Reich, like myself would love to understand how people can continually behave...NOT in their best interests. If it where not for words such as Patriotism. I am not sure the word conscription would be in operation. Shit, 90% of what we think of as human smarts is ephemeral mental structures...illuminated and constructed by Words.
