Jillian Wuestenberg, 32, and Eric Wuestenberg, 42, were each charged with one count of felonious assault, which is punishable by up to four years in prison. They are expected to be arraigned in 52-3 District Court.

Eric Wuestenberg, who is identified on the Oakland University website as a veterans support services coordinator, also was fired.

There's going to be such a massive backlash against this if the charges stick. By all accounts they are a decent law abiding couple that were backed into a corner by dangerous, racist people that were threatening them.

Not saying there shouldn’t be a backlash, but what exactly do you think that backlash would look like?

Interesting sidenote that they are Bergs.

A backlash against the general BLM nonsense. It's shaping up already this will be a politically motivated prosecution:

Bouchard played six 911 calls, in which various parties described what they saw, two video recordings of the incident circulating on the internet, and tried to piece together the chain of events.

Bouchard, a Republican, also went out of his way to make it clear the charge was decided by Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper, a Democrat. He declined to offer any personal opinions of the charges.

I get that. I was asking how you think that backlash would actually manifest itself in reality. I ask because many things have already happened that could prompt a “backlash” yet, still no backlash.

Political martyrs.
