Warlordism is what happens when the state loses its monopoly on violence (c.f. the war on police).

But since that's not happening, it's completely irrelevant to the conversation. The police have zero need for the militarization that's been happening over the past few decades, and a 70-90% cut to their budgets is exactly what we need to limit their power appropriately and restore the people's faith in what are supposed to be their protectors.

The results are always horrible for everyone, and the people at the bottom of society get hit the hardest. It's true in Somalia or any other shithole country that this happens in
