That's why it's important to get out the word and get people over to the site. Here are some subs people might fight interesting.

Reminder: Saidit.net has downloaded apps.

s/cringeanarchy - 100% cringe, 100% anarchy.

s/politics - it's like r/politics, but without the cucks, bots, and astroturfing.

s/latestagecapitalism - A sub that points how the people advocating from socialism are the ones benefiting most from capitalism.

s/whatever - whatever

s/kotakuinaction - a sub for people to cry and whine and do nothing about what they're crining about.

s/gamergateydoo - a sub to point out the uselessness of modern day gamergate and s/kotakuinaction

s/drumpfisfinished - a place to finish drumpf.

s/meanwhileonreddit - a place to watch a raging dumpster fire.

Don't see a sub you'd like? Be the change you want in this world and start it. Every 2 weeks you can create a new sub up to 15 to disallow power jannies(N8thegr8, Bardfinn, gallowboob, awkwardtheturtle, etc).

kotakuinaction is my secret hero

If reddit fails (which is a long way off), I think things will become more spread out and less concentrated on one site for awhile. Just look at TheDonald.win. Especially during these turbulent times, people want to turn to friendly voices online.

I really appreciate Saidit because it's the only forum allowing truly free expression, afaik. Magnora and D3rr need help marketing saidit tho. Don't be shy to drop a link or a mention anywhere you roam.

Can we please stop promoting SaidIt this way? SaidIt does not allow free speech or free expression because of the pyramid of debate, and it does attempt to police the community's overall overton window (the admins are actively working to prevent the community from organically "becoming voat" or "becoming reddit).

SaidIt is a reddit-like site that loosely attempts to enforce Paul Graham's pyramid of debate and aims to avoid developing an extremist community as determined by the admins.

eta: I was censored here on SaidIt without explanation

Yep.. I remember too. I also remember how good slashdot.org use to be before they hired "editors".

With that said.. aren't we talking about a massive amount of bandwidth? Site owner was saying in another post last week that it is entirely paid for by voluntary "donations". A fact that needs to be advertised more because I don't think many people are aware of it. That is a great model, but I think it needs to be a more front and center element of the site. Right now it is hidden in small type in the footer where I don't think people are seeing it often. I also think "support" is a better word than "donate" At any rate, I don't think the site owner presently is interested in growing the site. I heartily agree that he does need to start taking it seriously, but I'm not sure he wants to.

Totally agree. I paid for Reddit gold back when Reddit wasn't a daily struggle session. I stopped that in 2016, but would gladly contribute financially to a place like this.

Maybe the owners could put up a link for saidit gold. Lol. Platinum? Better than Reddit, let's not copy them.

Yeah I think SaidIt is the only one stable enough to handle a bunch of new users. No disrespect to the other alternatives. We've been giving Ruqqus tech tips so they can stay up too. Things are heating up here, lots of new users and good discussions.

That's for sure. On the app I can't see the replies to this thread. I don't think I set any wonky permissions, so...fyi. :)

Edit: I was viewing cached copy. NM. User error. :)

idk if it's reached, but r/worldpolitics used to be a leftist place and now it's a porn aggregator

[–]Riva[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah if they can't ban everyone they'll just spam the sub so it's unusable. Look at metacanada.

or r/educatingliberals which is frozen in time
