Is Reddit really breaking down? I have no figures and the taunting I see here seems to be sour grapes.

You mean taunting in the last couple of days? It could be related to the riots. That is, people who can't join in the actual riots are maybe trying to do the same sort of thing but in virtual space, online. If you're referring to me a few weeks ago, I apologize but didn't understand your intentions back then. It's so easy to misunderstand people online, isn't it?

As for reddit, people started leaving back before Trump was elected, mainly because people with certain political views were harassed by moderators. Unless you have Politically Correct views on a range of topics, your comments can be deleted or you can be shadow banned, meaning you think everything is all right but your comments are not seen by anyone else. Some have been outright banned from reddit also. That is why saidit's user base is growing so fast: people are fed up with reddit and are leaving in droves. This is not to mention that there are internal problems at reddit. I never go there at all now.

Oh, I rarely look at the user names here. Did we talk recently? Honestly the only username I remember he is the amazing DCJogger. What is up with him?

If a user is way too active or is erratic, they might be a bot.

But I do not understand what someone is trying to do? Is it something about generating clicks for some reason?

It depends on who is running the bot and there is no knowing who is doing it. It might be a political party, a country (usually one of its agencies), an agency within the US, or a corporation. I guess there are other possibilities but you get the idea. You just don't know who you are talking to nowadays. Usually they want to sell an idea or a product.
