You'll notice that they never, ever mention that the bombing happened on the exact same date as the FBI massacre at the Branch Davidian compound.
It was revenge for that, pure and simple. We can't have anyone knowing that - the story is that one day, for no reason at all, someone bombed a federal building.

Thank you. One of my many eccentricities is that I do not watch TV and so on. Nonetheless, thank you.

You won't find counter-narratives like that on TV.
You are wise to avoid TV. However, should you ever feel like indulging, perhaps you might want to tell me your interests and I can recommend some stuff, if they overlap with my limited experiences. I keep my eyes and ears open for the exceptional in all media, to the best of my abilities. There is some good stuff out there, free of agenda, free of corruption, and of good quality. Sadly, IMO, not enough in a sea of disease.
Interesting that you're free of TV yet you're not quite free of the mainstream narrative. Feel free to be skeptical of "authority" in all it's forms. Question everything, including me.

I read & I write. Oddly both are held back by The Failing New York Times and The Economist. Just as I get going on a book another damn newspaper comes in and I am going to read it, dammit. I paid for it and I am going to read it.
Getting rid of TV was not for any noble reason. Arabic TV is not very good. Further I find the visual media too intrusive.

Stop paying for it. Especially the establishment shit.
Find better zines or pirate them if you must.
"Intrusive" is a curious term for it. Too many are immersed and don't resurface.

I simply cannot think with all that noise in the background. Further, I am convinced a TV screen simply draws your eye to it. It is very hard to get things done in a room with a TV.
I last turned mine on to see the inauguration.
