You misspelled boys there.

They will never, ever be women. Nope. Never.

They sure can become a woman, just not biological female that can carry a child.

Nope. A man can't cut his balls off and become a woman. It just doesn't happen. If your tactic relies on the goodwill and tolerance of your enemy, and it’s working - you're the bad guy.

there's a difference between sex and gender. argue all you want, it's categorical definition

Argument from authority doesn't work when that crap didn't exist before a few years ago.

Men are men. Women are women. Anything else is a birth defect.

just because there wasn't a common phrase for it doesn't mean it didn't exist. get with the times, boomer; the lexicon is constantly evolving, so is science and humanities. also, they've existed a lot longer than a "few years". the concept(s) was explored in the "human sexuality" course i took over a decade ago. you ignorance doesn't equate to nonexistence of a concept/classification

I'm not a boomer, but thanks for using dishonest SJW tactics. I expect nothing less.

To ignore the baleful effect of far left ideology on the university is horrifically ignorant. Ideologues are in control and abusing their positions to advance their extreme political goals. Do you not know this, or are you pretending to be ignorant?

Fun fact: you know they have big problems translating these insane concepts into other languages? They don't make any sense. Canada ran into this because everything is supposed to be in English and French. The translators said they couldn't translate it to French. Telling, eh?

Sarcasm is a "dishonest SJW tactic" now?

Ah yes, college is all brainwashing and yadayada (i was a STEM major btw, i think for myself and come to my own conclusions using the information provided). College is meant to teach people a toolset for problem solving, not the answers to the problems. The ones getting brainwashed are the ones looking for an answer to be handed to them rather than looking for the method for finding the answer(s).

Back to the topic at hand - Disagree with it all you like, it's a cemented part of our lexicon and society at this point, and it has been for far more than "a few years". There are plenty of things that cannot be accurately translated from English to other languages a vice versa. That's not a very compelling point imo.

As for my own opinion, i'd agree transgenderism is likely, at least to some degree, related to untreated mental disorders (body/gender dysphoria, to name the main suspect). Gender is "fluid", as they love to say; however, sex is not. There is a distinct difference between the two - the former relating more to mentality, and the later to physicality. This is literally how the terms are defined in the modern lexicon.

So - things can change, but now it's cemented and we have no choice? Seriously?

You're arguing against yourself. And losing.

When concepts are so alien and bizarre that they only exist in one lexicon carefully tended by political extremists, and can't be translated to other languages, that's a sure sign you're dealing with bullshit.

No, i'm not. You lack imagination. Even cement foundations can erode and change, be reclaimed by nature, and soon a paved lot is a forest once again. The magic ingredient is time.

The vast majority of the people who accept the new gender classifications are far from political extremists. I'd consider myself conservative in many regards, but in social issues i do lean a bit left; either way i'm a far cry from an extremist in either direction myself. I believe in the concept of personal Liberty a la "On Liberty"; if someone isn't (negatively) effecting me or others with their actions it's not my place to restrict said actions.

Since you so insistent, i must pry: what would be the reason for these spooky political extremists to push this ideology? What does it accomplish for them? Surely they aren't just doing it for fun, so what is the motive you suspect?
