Tobacco Republicans are still a problem, and are a direct threat to the Vape industry.

I don't know about other countries, but here big retailers thrive because they have their own vehicles for distribution of online orders, while small businesses just got killed. Even if lockdown lasts "only" a month, many of them will be simply out of business when the lockdown ends.

So more desperate people will be added to the existing bankrupted masses and more and more will have to seek an employment "opportunity" at some big retailer for a salary of 400-600 euros.

Hey, those businesses should learn to code.

    Do you know how?

No. But I am not asking the taxpayers to support me.

So are you in favour of bailing out the giant corporations?

Too big to fail means everyone else is too small to succeed.

Fair is fair (but it never ever really is), and all of us should suffer for allowing the establishment to scam us all so much while also making the rest of the world suffer.

    May the best adapters win.

Or... the government can give the people the money they'd give to the banks so they can keep the actual economy going and/or put the money in the banks anyway - and tell the banks not to gamble so much (ie. split banks and trade again).

Seems to me we got perfectly good bankruptcy courts to handle cruise lines, airline and other businesses that did not have enough sense to save for a rainy day or purchase insurance. Well-run businesses can borrow against their assets at zero percent prime rates.

All in all, we might do best to simply give all this money to the poorest of us. They will then spend it on goods and services and so keep businesses afloat.

    I'd vote for that.

"Coronavirus lockdown could kill small businesses"

Wasn't that the plan from the beginning?

There are a lot of empty store fronts around here now. Everyone who had a lease until the end of the month has left. But realistically most of them are just making the best financial decisions for themselves and not actually getting wiped out. They will be back as soon as conditions improve.

Another intentional "side effect" that is in the favour of the corporatocracy.

    Wow.

The problems of today could be solved by doing what the government did in the past- NOTHING.

Americans scream FEMA camps are the only solution for natural disasters, but San Francisco recovered from the 1906 earthquake without government help.

Americans insist concentration camps are the only answer to viruses, but the government did nothing about a cholera outbreak in 1832.

Americans say the only possible solutions to deal with illegal immigrants are to build a wall, have warrantless searches, DNA databases, license plate scanners, and build concentration camps, but the US used to have open borders.

Americans say the only solution to recessions is to give billion dollar bailouts to bankers who commit fraud and give welfare to the lazy, but the US recovered from the Panic of 1893 without government action.

The government starts a problem and offers a solution. Why not avoid starting a problem in the first place?

If the government starts a trade war that kills the economy and then offers bailouts, why not just avoid starting a trade war in the first place?

If the government increases the minimum wage and regulations that kill businesses and raise prices and then offers welfare, why not just reduce the minimum wage and regulations?

The government is not a holy god. The government is force.

Why not allow the free market to handle problems?

The private market and charities cannot provide disaster relief?

The free market cannot provide medical care, delivery companies, railroads, airports, schools, fire departments, private mediation, and security companies?

Do your shoes come from government shoes factories?

Won't bad companies go out of business? Can't you ask the Better Business Bureau if a company is good or not instead of relying on business licenses?

    Can't churches teach morals?

Do you really trust the government to tell you what the truth is?

Does the government spend your money better than you do?

People don't have any personal responsibility?

Can't you move away from people you don't like?

Can't you save money to prepare for downturns?

Can't Americans boycott products with cheap prices instead of begging for a trade war that kills the economy?

Can't Americans quit low paying jobs, learn a skill, move to another city, or start a business instead of thinking a minimum wage will magically make them rich with no unintended consequences?

Is tyranny something that only affects others, but not you?

Do Americans who hate freedom feel like traitors?

    Are Americans retarded children?

Didn't tyranny kill millions of people in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, China, and Cambodia?

    Think.

If 50% of the US is Fascist and 50% is Communist then who will speak up for freedom?

The government is the biggest threat of all.

Americans want the government to protect them from scary illegal immigrants, terrorists, and viruses, but governments end up killing millions.

Businesses think spending money to pay for TV/radio ads, billboards, newspaper ads, and mailing lists is an investment that will result in more sales. Spending money to promote freedom won't make you rich, but Americans will lose everything if Americans don't fight back against tyranny.
