If I'm not mistaken, there are numerous tests to be done. This initial test could be to check for no dangerous reactions. Once they test for no dangerous reactions, they can move along with further tweaks and testing.

I was hearing repeatedly it'd be a year to a year and a half, at the minimum, to get the vaccine. The thing was only recognized as existing 3 months ago and they're already testing out vaccines? I am a little skeptical... hmm

China could've given theirs to Canada.

Wouldn't be that hard to secretly tell a sleeper agent how to do it. Then it looks they there's been a breakthrough in another country when China had it the whole time.

Interesting thought. Or if this was a US-created bioweapon that was released on china, the US would probably have the vaccine ahead of schedule as well

The way it appeared neared chinese bio-labs opens up new questions. A foreign nation releasing it in china would be risking ww3 if caught. Way too dangerous. Not impossible. I just think unlikely.

Either way there's a lot we won't know until documents get leaked, if at all.

If it had to be made from scratch, trial testing, etc, etc.

If an existing and already approved medicine worked, then they can rush that quicker

Corona viruses aren't new. 7% of flu viruses are Corona. The death rate is 4%. This years flu vaccine will be switched to include Corona.

The death rate is 10x normal flu, and there's lots of evidence this was a man-made bioweapon, so it's a bit different

Death rate: 10.4%

Flu Death rate: 0.1%

So actually it's 100x worse than the flu. So it's even worse than my guess, and your math is incredibly incorrect. Thanks for the source so we could verify that.

Should use infected, not recovered. 8,732÷214,894= 4%

No because we don't know the outcome of 90% of the effective, you have to know the outcome to make the percentage. You can't include most cases which haven't completed yet
