From the beginning it seemed to me it was obvious Mexico wouldn't pay and that Trump was planning on using it as a justification to implement trade tariffs, thus getting as excuse to back away or renegotiate NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) something he always had expressed a dislike for as being "unfair deal" to muricans.

It all seemed obvious, the fact that some people miss the obvious and grasp at anything that confirms "orange man bad" is quite telling.
