Gonna be the buzzkill, but how is a single person's suicide news worthy?

In 2017 there were approximately 5,821 registered deaths by suicide in the United Kingdom, equating to an average of 16 suicides per day in the country.

People kill themselves, it's bad, but wouldn't say it relevant to report a single one. Not only that, people shouldn't draw conclusions from a single event as the sample size is too small and in this case, I doubt it was randomly selected.
