I don’t understand why the failures of the Democratic Leadership of this state and the cities of LA and SF are not being held more accountable for their utter and complete failure to address this issue — unless Liberals don’t actually care about people the way they claim to... hmmm.

Yeah. People act goofy in stores. Film at eleven.

SF seems like a terrible place to go if you're homeless.
It's cold AF all year long.

It's not cold if you get to shoot up and dose off in the park with no repercussions :)

I would suppose most everyplace is terrible if you have no home.

You probably haven't been to SF.

I have been everywhere.... except California. I am now sixty-two years old and have decided to never to there. Just because.

Have you been to any other cities? If you think people pooping in stores is a San Francisco problem, you may not get out much.

Major cities and regions that I’ve been to multiple times for very extended periods of time — Paris, London, Cabo, Madrid, Nice, Torremolinos, NYC, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware/Maryland/DC/Virginia and nearby PA and WV, Atlanta, Greensboro, SF, LA, Dallas, Vegas, Maine, Ohio.

With the possible exception of Northern Italy, California is easily the most pleasant place I’ve ever been, despite the massive amount of people with theirs heads planted firmly in their ass.

There’s a reason people come here just to sleep on the streets.

The mentally ill are bussed one way from one place to the other and that's probably the only roof they feel welcome under. Countries with much more appalling social standards provide the means to be sheltered, often for a reduced fee and the owners still make a profit. We're talking fly-a-sign-for-an-hour cheap. There is no reason people should be shitting in stores, even in San Francisco.

Give homeless people a stipend and fucking closet in an abandoned retail bank dereliction to sleep in. Police it and nowhere else and I guarantee the mental illness problem will virtually disappear. Crime will be all Dukes of Hazard JUST LIKE IT SHOULD BE.

I don't want to live in a world the doesn't shelter its own, or one that over polices every little thing. Bleeding heart politics from both sides always leads to a J-Curve in this kind of behavior, but it doesn't have to, the powers that be just want a reason to police people to death with kewl technology because they're boring and shitty people without a sense of adventure.
