I don't.

Would just encourage them to do more insider trader and lobbying/book deals/ other corrupt shit to make money.

If anything, they should put an income limit on members on elected officials, even after leaving office.

For people that hate lobbying, leftists really seem to want to take away elected officials means of providing for themselves without taking bribes. That, or they only want rich people to be able to run for office. Pick your poison, this is a completely boneheaded idea to support. "Becuase I make minimum wage you should have to as well!"
